Germana Gaist

Born in Rome in 1969, Ms Germana began her artistic career by attending the School of Art "VersOltre" in 2006.

Her artistic reflections unfold from an interest in the human figure as an expression of purity. A purity that colour embodies as an inner condition which is reflected in the external reality.

In recent years, her growing interest in the scientific and philosophical sphere led her to further develop her search for expression in themes that particularly strike her for their special settings and for the play of colours in movement.

Mankind's imaginative paths and immersions into the archetypes of the laws that govern the universe accompany the viewer on a journey through intuition, awareness and surrender/letting go.

The collective works are part of a project – Bridge conecting Continents – by the movement "Arte Quantica", an artistic initiative in support of the International Cooperation Project Bits of Future: Food for All.

The common denominator of each artwork is the search for interaction between a group of artists, an attempt to unfold the laws governing the being and the whole Universe.

The artworks consist of large three-by-two-meter panels created with the collaboration of various artists.

A theme is developed for each artwork together with its relevant pattern.
The pattern is then traced onto the canvas, which is cut up and divided into several pieces. Drawing inspiration from the theme, the artists paint the piece assigned to them without consulting or comparing notes with the other artists.

Finally, the work is reassembled by gluing the pieces together, revealing to the viewer in what way the quantum entanglement between the various artists may have shaped their inspiration.
